Job Title: Specialist, Systems Engineering - IRAD Job Code: 18721 Job Location: Greenville, TX (On-Site) Job Schedule: 1 st Shift 9/80 Job Description: The Specialist, Systems Engineer will be responsible for working with L3Harris Internal Research and Development (IR&D) to develop proprietary ELINT and/or COMINT technology and capabilities.
Essential Functions: - Interface with other Systems Engineers, IR&D Project Owners, Chief Engineers, Software Engineering, Flight Line Test, and Project Engineering to understand new baseline functionality.
- Participate in risk and vulnerability assessments (as required) of information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs, coordinate L3H efforts to develop Security Impact Assessments (SIAs) of proposed system modifications for submittal to the ISSM.
- Collectively demonstrate exceptional technical competence, reliability in delivering mission-critical infrastructure, and continually ensure the highest levels of accessibility, optimization, and security.
- Understanding of software engineering, hardware engineering, and program management.
- Prepare and present technical results for internal and external program meetings
- Document and support infrastructure, network, & mission processor design verification tests within lab, ground and flight test environments.
- Develop, track and present technical metrics
- Manage requirements using collaborative tools through all phases of the project.
- Follows existing standards to document system testing status and anomalies with system hardware and software and verifies subsequent anomaly fixes.
- Utilize several online tools including Jira, DOORS, and Confluence.
- Read and interpret block diagrams, wire diagrams, mechanical drawings and circuit schematics.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret (SCI) security clearance.
- Functional working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
- Basic networking and familiarity with NIST publications.
- Use of MATLAB.
- Proficiency with Linux administration, Bash scripting, Windows PowerShell, Windows administration, Nessus, Wireshark, Nmap.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree with four (4) years of prior Systems/IRAD experience.
- Graduate Degree with two (2) years of prior Systems/IRAD experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of eight (8) years of prior Systems/IRAD experience.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills: - Experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration and/or project management, and/or model-based systems engineering.
- Cybersecurity Certification such as Sec+, CASP+, CySA or CISSP.
- Knowledge/experience in Geo-location technologies.
